You are peace, you are peace, when my fear is crippling....

I believe that to really live, you have to do something that is bigger and more important than yourself.  For years now it was enough raising a family and being a part of God’s story locally.  God has made it clear in our hearts that there is more that can be accomplished through Him.  For the last year we, (the Martins) have been preparing to move to Nicaragua.   If you know us and what we are doing skip this link and read on. I realize that some of you are just beginning to read this now and we haven't stated our vision in several months. Here is a link to our vision statement and mission plan

You are peace, you are peace, when my fear is crippling....

Is it really December already? The time seems to be speeding up as our departure date gets closer. I can't believe we have less than 2 months left in North Carolina. There is still so much to do, but we are staying on track with it all and ready to go. We have stepped up our Spanish training and hope to complete our Rosetta Stone training by the end of January. We still need to sell or rent our house, so please pray that it will sell quickly.  God has brought us this far, so I have no doubt that he will work out this last matter too.  I am extremely thankful to be able to spend one more Christmas in it this year.

I am so excited to be able to say we are 80% funded now!  This includes both our monthly support and our start-up budget. It seems that God does want to send us on our way. I am getting a bit nervous as it gets closer, but I can't wait to see what God has planned for us down there. If you would like to join with us and our ministry partners, you can click on the link above or give us a call anytime. We need to be 100% funded before we can buy our plane tickets and set an actual date.  I love the way God has brought unexpected people into our lives through ministry partnership. I feel so honored to have these people working side by side with us on this mission and praying for us.

Our prayer cards are available now and we will be passing them out at the Summit Church tomorrow. If you would like one and won't be there tomorrow, let us know and we'll pop one  in the mail for you.

We are actively
looking for a place to live in Nicaragua now. Our new friends down there have been a great help with this process. We want to find a place that will comfortably house mission teams who come to visit.  Please pray that we will choose the right place for all of these needs.
